Pacific Rim International Broomball Tournament

Games Information

Dates: Tuesday 4th to Saturday 8th September 2007

Divisions: Men’s and Ladies

Rules: Men’s division games will be played checking. Ladies division games will be played non checking. IFBA rulebook and referees will be used (centre red line offside, 5’ x 7’ cages).

Games Guarantee: Eight (8) game guarantee in Men’s division. Seven (7) game guarantee in Ladies division.

Entry Fee: AU$1100 per men’s team (US$880, CA$1020, EU€660, JP¥105,000); AU$900 per ladies team (US$720, CA$840, EU€540, JP¥85,000)

Hotel: Looking at approximately AU$33-$60 per night per person with options for family, quad, triple, double and twin share rooms. See hotel link on left menu for tournament hotel information.

The Pacific Rim tournament is open to all broomball players and teams from around the world and will be the first international tournament held in Australia. We have already had the top Australian teams sign up for the tournament, and we are hoping to get many more teams interested, not just from the United States and Canada but also smaller broomball countries like ourselves, such as Japan, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Sweden, Finland, and Russia.

Broomball Australia is teaming up with Sydney tourism agencies to offer a wide variety of extra activities. Sydney has plenty to offer tourists – and as anybody who went to the World Championships knows, the Aussies know how to party!!
